Entrance got the news today that we ranked number 20 on the Houston Fast Tech 50, in addition to winning the Enterprise Champion award. This award is given to the company that stands out to the Houston Business Journal “in areas of community service, innovation, corporate culture and overcoming challenges, as determined by a panel of sponsor judges.”
We are thrilled to be singled out from the list of 50 other awesome growing companies. And it’s an interesting time for all us to be here in Houston.
One winner noted in an article discussing the Fast Tech award, that although Houston is an awesome environment to grow in, companies based here sometimes can find investment difficult, as Houston is not perceived to be hot like the Silicon Valley area is. Respondents to the Fast Tech submission survey also noted that “drawing in talented employees is always a challenge, though they are working hard to lure in those employees with fun work environments, competitive salaries and Houston’s low cost of living.”
In any case, Entrance is making great strides to grow amongst the best of them here in Houston. Says Entrance president Nate Richards, “The key is innovation, but not just any innovation. It is a practical degree of innovation. We help (clients) innovate, but not so far that they are making risky investments.”
