SHAREPOINT
This is a web application platform used primarily for enterprise-level content and document management. SharePoint is a multi-purpose tool designed to cater to the web requirements of most organizations. It also provides a Microsoft-Office interface, and is heavily integrated with the Office suite of tools. The SharePoint platform integrates directly into Internet Information Services (IIS) – enabling bulk management, scaling, and provisioning of servers, as is often required by large organizations or cloud hosting providers.

Internet Information Services is a web server application and a set of features for Microsoft Windows. Supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS, SMTP, NNTP, it’s an integral part of the Windows Server family products as well as XP, Vista or 7. This is the most popular server in the world, responding to 12% of total requests.
