Office 365 had a service update in April (2013) that had some impacts on SharePoint Online. Here are several of the impacts:
- SharePoint Designer 2013: SharePoint Designer 2010 is no longer supported by Office 365. You should use SharePoint Designer 2013, and Microsoft advises that you should uninstall SharePoint Designer 2010 when you are ready to install SharePoint Designer 2013.
- SharePoint User Interface: The new UI is now available for SharePoint Online. This upgrade is required, and if you have not performed the upgrade within 3 months of the update, Microsoft may notify you that the upgrade will occur automatically.
- Internet Explorer 7: IE 7 is no longer supported. If you haven’t already done so, you need to upgrade your version of IE.You can see more details about the Office 365 Service Update or the impact on SharePoint Online in Office 365 Community articles.
