What is Net Revenue Interest?

Net Revenue Interest (NRI)

NRI denotes the share of production after all burdens, such as royalty and overriding royalty, have been deducted from the working interest.  It is the percentage of production that each party actually receives.

How it’s important to us

Along with GWI, yesterday’s word of the day, NRI is typically tracked on a per-completion basis throughout the US.  It is also broken down per-product (Oil, Gas, NGLs) and is date effective.  A certain party’s NRI may change when a certain payout date is hit or various conditions.  NRI is important because it signifies the amount of production that you are entitled to be paid for.
