What is Flowing Tubing Pressure?

Flowing Tubing Pressure (FTP)

FTP is the static pressure in the tubing when the well is flowing into delivery lines.

How it’s important to us

FTP is one of the typical daily measurements that production engineers look at along with daily oil, gas and water measurements.  FTP is a good indicator of the health of the well, as the pressure will begin to decline over time and daily hydrocarbon returns diminish.  FTP is typically measured in psi (pounds per square inch) or Pa (pascals – typically kPa or MPa) for international units.
